Ternat elections: Aoshigas mayorship promises

Writer's picture: LnadTVLnadTV

At 47, Hugo Aoshiga embarked on his first electoral campaign for the post of mayor of Ternat. Invested in the civic life of the city since his arrival 5 years ago, he wishes to see his village continue to prosper. CEO of the multidisciplinary group Orion, he has repeatedly shown that he is capable of making the right decisions for the prosperity of his company. We hope that the same will be done as mayor.

"Regarding the news, what do you think of Mr. Allard's decision to abandon the destruction of the old market."

First of all, I must admit that I supported his project at first. When I arrived in Ternat, the building had already been closed and abandoned for a few years. I thought it was better to destroy it and build a mall. However, I was not then aware of the importance of this building for the inhabitants. When I learned of her story and her role in the village, I immediately changed my mind. I was therefore happy that Mr. Allard was not able to make his project a reality. From now on, this is one of the key points of my application: the restoration and rehabilitation of the old market as a cultural center and place of village life.

"You are someone who is both close to the citizens and to history. This is why you want to start the restoration work on the castle?"

Yes quite. This is part of the demands of the village. In addition, its renovation and the creation of a regional history museum will undoubtedly bring a new economic dynamic to the village.

"Yet you are announcing without hiding it that you will probably not renovate the whole thing. What is the reason?"

You see, this project is very expensive. I want to use the budget made available to me to take into account the needs and necessities of the village. I can't afford to turn off the water to renovate the fortress, you understand? In addition, we estimate the simple renovation to nearly 2.5M of skibbles. The addition of a museum, as we all wish to do, as well as road infrastructures allowing a good reception of the public, will surely increase the final price to more than 3M. But if the investors help us, it is possible to go further in the project. Only time will tell us.

"Your opponents are however convinced to be able to restore the castle while taking into account the budget. You are not afraid that this will be harmful to your candidacy?"

I would rather be honest, and do more than what I said I would do during my candidacy than less.

"You were talking about needs and necessities for the village. What are you thinking?"

The budget allocated to our municipality must also be used to invest in public infrastructure. As our village grows, our infrastructure must be able to keep pace. Many businesses have set up shop and factory, and new residential areas have been built without roads having been improved or built. In addition, our school is currently overloaded with students. I undertake to invest a significant portion of the budget to meet these needs.

"Some criticize your lack of an ecology program. How do you respond?"

I am not forgetting the ecological concerns of our fellow citizens. I am myself close to nature. Although this is not one of the highlights of my application, I all intend to pay particular attention to the restoration and conservation of our natural heritage. Even if it is not a part of my main project.

"Do you have a final word, Mr. Aoshiga, before concluding this interview?"

Ladies, Gentlemen, if I become mayor of Ternat thanks to you, know that beyond my project, I would above all listen to you. I would do anything to make our village a welcoming village!
