Wind turbines for Ternat!

Writer's picture: LnadTVLnadTV

Ternat, and also the whole Yellow Hill region has got its first green energy supply. Thanks to the future-caring company Owl's Eye.

With that, Ternat uses its own produced energy for the first time in 120 years. Until now, all the energy used got imported from Bergburg.

The Yellow Hill Morning Post asked the Mayor, Allard and Owl's Eye exclusive questions. Read their answers here:

Raphaël Allard, why is this such a big step for Ternat?

Me, as the mayor, dreamt about an own energy source for a long time but unfortunately, we could never find a suitable partner until now. At the moment, we're paying a lot of money to get the power that we need from Bergburg. With the new wind turbines, we can produce at least some of the energy used ourselves. And also, for the first time in Yellow Hill this is green energy.

You said some of the energy. You many wind turbines would we need to supply whole Ternat?

This is a hard question to calculate, especially because Ternat is growing at such a fast speed. What I can say is, that there is a limit of 10 wind turbines on the Hill that we chose. This is because of the available space and also to prevent the cut-down of too many trees.

A big thanks to Raphaël Allard for this interview. We also asked the CEO of the company owning the wind turbines, FredOwlman from Owl's Eye some questions.

Why did your company decide to build a wind turbine?

Well, Owl’s Eye is committed to sustainable growth, this means looking for long-term solutions that are also economically beneficial at the same time. We really want everyone to enjoy better living conditions, which leads to a richer environment and more economic growth. Since the energy market has recently opened up, we wanted to take a leap and ensure that renewable energy can be offered to Yellow Hill.

Will the inhabitants of Ternat notice any difference in their electrical bills?

At this point, Ternat is buying its energy from Bergburg at quite a costly rate. The price of our renewable energy is a fraction of that. There will be cost savings, but it's up to the current and future mayor to decide how to use these. Either they will improve the town's budget, or result in a lower electrical bill.

What are your plans for the future? Is Owl's Eye planning to build more wind turbines?

Since Owl’s Eye is recent start-up cooperation, it is still working on a limited budget. We mainly wanted to match our offer to the current demand. When demand is rising, I won’t exclude we will invest in more wind turbines, but that is very unclear at this point. Aside from providing sustainable resources to the neighborhood, we don’t have any more plans for development.

We've heard some voices complaining that wind turbines aren't the most beautiful solution and are destroying the landscape. What would you tell these people?

We can’t deny the fact that wind turbines are not the most beautiful structures to be put in the environment. The selection of the current location of the wind farm was carefully studied and chosen by Mayor Allard to limit the cons of a wind turbine project, while at the same time guaranteeing the biggest productivity. Aside from that, we as a company agree completely that too many trees are being cut down, so we are dedicated to keep the forests alive within Yellow Hill to compensate the view polluting effect of our wind turbine project.

The whole team of the Yellow Hill Morning Post is excited to announce, that our parent-company Lnad Global Investments Group is one of the first companies to use 100% green energy supplied by the wind turbine and also solar panels on top of all our buildings.

With that, we make a big step in the direction of a greener future.

We, as the team of the Yellow Hill Morning Post are very flattered about a new energy source. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
